Ashurst has acted as lead counsel on behalf of a consortium of sponsors on the acquisition of a 60.4 MW solar plant located in Karadzhalovo, Bulgaria, from solar energy services provider SunEdison and in the subsequent step-in by the sponsors in the existing project financing.
The group of sponsors includes First Reserve Energy Infrastructure Advisors, L.L.C., International Company for Water and Power Projects and Crescent Capital Advisory Ltd. The lenders include Overseas Private Investment Corporation, International Finance Corporation, Unicredit Bank Austria AG and Unicredit Bulbank AD.
The Ashurst team was led by Milan-based partner Carloandrea Meacci, assisted by senior associate Annamaria Pinzuti and associate Federica Periale.
