Davis Polk advised Quicksilver Resources Inc.(QRI) and Quicksilver Resources Canada Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of QRI (QRCI), on the amendment and restatement of their existing $1.75 billion combined senior secured borrowing base credit facilities. J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated acted as joint bookrunners for the QRI facility and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and The Bank of Nova Scotia acted as joint bookrunners for the QRCI facility. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, Quicksilver is a natural gas and crude oil exploration and production company engaged in the development and acquisition of long-lived, unconventional natural gas reserves, including coalbed methane, shale gas and tight sands gas in North America. The Davis Polk credit team included partner Joseph P. Hadley and associates Meyer C. Dworkin, Angela W. Cho and Alexa Taylor (not yet admitted). Partner Michael Mollerus and associate Kerry S.
