Host families are mainly booked for young people living abroad for language classes, internships or other education purposes.
Based in Dublin, the buyer, Homestay Technologies Limited, operates the website homestay.com and covers the same market segment. With the acquisition Homestay Technologies extends its global presence and the offer of private accommodation. Joining these two companies serves the aim of a worldwide leading position as a provider of private accommodation in host families. Homestay Technologies is funded by the Irish Venture Capital Company Delta Partners. The parties agreed not to disclose the value of the transaction.
