Norton Rose Fulbright advised a consortium of construction and engineering companies in relation to the project financing of a convention center, the Ahoy arena and the surrounding area of Zuidplein, Rotterdam.
The consortium comprised Ballast Nedam and Heijmans, supported by 3i Infrastructure. N.V. Bank Nederlandse Gemeenten provided a facility for the purpose of building a swimming pool, venue halls, an art building, a congress center and a music hall. Construction of the site was to take place between 2016 and 2043 and was valued at approximately EUR200 million.
