On 02 November 2010, Standard Chartered signed a non-binding strategic cooperation framework agreement with the Agricultural Bank of China. The parties had entered into a memorandum of understanding in June 2010. The strategic cooperation framework agreement was entered into following high level discussions between the parties and provides for further steps to implement and facilitate cooperation, more detailed plans for cooperation in a number of business areas and the formation and division of responsibilities of working groups of both parties.
