Slaughter and May advised AngloGold Ashanti, the South African gold miner, on a new US$1 billion, five-year unsecured revolving credit facility, maturing in July 2017, with its banking syndicate. This replaces the group's existing four-year, US$1 billion unsecured facility, which matures in April 2014. The new facility was significantly over-subscribed.
Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ and Barclays Bank PLC acted as co-ordinators on the new facility.
