Slaughter and May worked as an integrated team with Hengeler Mueller, advising the arranging banks in relation to a new EUR 8 billion secured Syndicated Facilities Agreement for Schaeffler AG as well as related intercreditor arrangements with the holders of EUR 1.2 billion and US$ 1.1 billion of high yield bonds. The Facilities Agreement was entered into on 27 January and the bonds were issued on 9 February, making the company's debut on the capital markets.
Schaeffler is a privately owned major manufacturer of rolling element bearings for automotive, aerospace and industrial uses.
