(GE) on GE Aviation's strategic joint venture with Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) to develop and market a new generation of avionics systems for the civil aviation market. The joint venture was announced by GE on January 19, 2011 during the visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao to the US.
