Ashurst advised the banks on the EUR205 million financing for 2i Aeroporti SpA and EUR45 million financing for its subsidiary GESAC. 2i Aeroporti S.p.A. was a subsidiary of F2i and Ardian and had a shareholding in some major Italian airports (including Milan, Turin and Bologna). GESAC operated Capodichino Airport in Naples. The amount was to be used, amongst other things, to refinance the existing debt of the aforementioned companies and their subsidiary 2i Sac.
Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank, Natixis, UBI Banca and UniCredit acted as mandated lead arrangers and lenders, Banca IMI as mandated lead arranger and agent and Intesa Sanpaolo as lender.
