Ashurst has acted for BHP Billiton on the US$430 million sale of Yeelirrie uranium deposit in Western Australia to Cameco Australia.
Cameco Australia is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cameco Corporation. Cameco Corp, with its head office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is one of the world's largest uranium producers, and is listed on the Toronto and New York Stock Exchanges.
