The ferry route was run by a joint venture of Scandlines and Stena Lines, each holding 50%. At the end of January 2015, First State took over the route operations - supported by Scandlines and Stena Line in the beginning. The five ferries sailing the route were all included in the agreement, and the route would continue to be marketed under the name Scandlines Elsinore-Helsingborg.
