Deal Title: | Numericable NYSE Euronext Paris Initial Public Offering | Industry: | Fixed Line Telecommunications |
Description: |
King and Wood Mallesons SJ Berwin advised investment funds and minority shareholders Pechel Industries and Five Arrows (Rothschild group) on the initial public offering of Numericable, a leader in cable and fibre in France.
The stock exchange listing was issued on Friday 8 November 2013. The new listed entity is made up of the major French cable operator and of Completel, a company specialising in Internet access for professionals.
Numericable's offering share price was issued at EUR24.80 per share. The group listed approximately a quarter of its capital, hoping to raise EUR652 million, EUR250 million of which through the issuing of new shares, which would value the company at EUR5.6 billion, debt included.
This transaction enabled Altice - a fund owned by Patrick Drahi, founder of Numericable and historically accompanied by Pechel and Five Arrows- to become the main shareholder of the company, by increasing its participation from 25% to 30%.
The team was led by Christophe Digoy, Managing Partner of the Paris office and David Diamant, Counsel.
