Leading private equity firm Providence Equity Partners announced today that it has reached agreement to acquire George Little Management from UK media group Daily Mail and General Trust plc for approximately $173 million in cash. Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP was counsel to Providence Equity on the transaction, which is expected to close in late September 2011, pending customary closing conditions and regulator approval.
US-based George Little Management produces trade shows for a variety of industries, including gifts, home furnishings, gourmet house wares, personal care, art & design, antique jewelry, board sports, fashion, and hospitality, that attract approximately 150,000 attendees yearly.
