Formation of Baker Hughes, a GE Company - GE and Baker Hughes entered into an agreement to combine GE's oil and gas business with Baker Hughes to "create a world-leading oilfield services provider". The combined business would have annual revenue of USD32bn per annum with operations in more than 120 countries. The business expected synergies of USD1.6bn to be realised by 2020.
